The artists journey through Turkey along the Armenian, Iranian, Iraq and Syrian borders, was deeply challenging. Facing fear, abduction and physical threats to life, lawlessness, an interrogation, sleeping with one eye open. He said ‘you can only count on how sharp your wits are and how good your driver is’.
